Once you know which two wires have the voltage for the tap you want, simply connect one power wire to the wire on our transformer with the voltage tap you want, and the other power wire to the wire on our transformer labeled “Comm”. It doesnt matter which phase goes to which wire.
if you connect a step down transformer backwards the core will saturate and you cannot transfer any power because the fuse just blew. or the winding overheated. (that is, you will need to make sue that the voltage you apply across the windings does not exceed what the transformer was designed for.
