Can you take videos in North Korea?
Most camera equipment is permitted by customs into North Korea. Pocket-sized travel cameras and GoPros (or similar) are permitted, as are smartphones (although you wont have any internet!)
Can we kiss in North Korea?
According to North Korean refugees that Ive worked with, the answer is: Yes. In North Korean films you dont see couples kissing or being physically affectionate with each other, so many North Koreans are just not used to PDA and wouldnt dream of being too affectionate or kissing in public.
Are phones not allowed in North Korea?
Whilst foreign businesses and expats in North Korea are now permitted to have cell phones, and cell phones are now a big deal for Pyongyangers, they actually exist on separate networks, so our YPT phone can access the internet, and can call other foreigners, we cant call locals, nor access the DPRK intranet.

Freedom of movement North Korean citizens usually cannot freely travel around the country, let alone travel abroad. Emigration and immigration are strictly controlled. This is because the North Korean government treats emigrants from the country as defectors.

In principle, any person is allowed to travel to North Korea; only South Koreans and journalists are routinely denied, although there have been some exceptions for journalists. However this is only possible if there are any diplomatic representations of North Korea in the visitors home country.

Can you get Internet in North Korea?
Internet access is not generally available in North Korea. Only some high-level officials are allowed to access the global internet. In most universities, a small number of strictly monitored computers are provided. Other citizens may get access only to the countrys national intranet, called Kwangmyong.
